Annadel Hikes

This trailhead is very easy and quick to get to from Santa Rosa. Hiking back on the Shultz Trail won’t add any distance to the other hikes. This area used to be mined for Cobblestones. Continue forward to the right on the the ridge trail. The following content can be added. Turn right on Mission Blvd, then left on Montgomery Drive. For wildflower lovers, Annadel Park offers a great variety of flowers from early Spring until early Summer, especially on a hike around Lake Ilsanjo.

Give minutes from home to setup carpools, 2 hours to hike from Lake Ralphine to the Gazebo for lunch, 30 min for lunch, and 3 hours to hike to the end. This hike had good timings to capture, as we had both a slow and fast group.

Steve’s trail will run into the Ridge trail. Give yourself 30 minutes. Nice variety of not too steep and level. Give yourself about 30 minutes to drive to the Lawndale road trailhead. This is a simple but pretty hike.


Live Oak Trail – Technical, rocky single-track.

We got to the boat loading ramp on Spring lake at 11am. It is a beautiful hike, but many bikes on the main trail. Tour of the Burmas. From Lawndale to Lake Ralphine only took us 15 minutes, but it was good to get there early, as people cycled through the bathrooms. Easy to moderate hike. This hike is a loop, with about feet of elevation gain, and it covers 4.

Go right onto ridge trail, then annafel going straight onto Upper Steve’s S trail when Ridge trail heads right. This trail should be rated moderate, at best. Nice mix of sun and shade with no views.
