Hello, Ben — it was released in the UK on May 18 in hardback, ebook and audio download. Originally hailing from Guildford, Kydd had the dream of joining the Royal Navy. Opal has written over novels with multiple book series such as the Dirty Talk series and the Abducted series. I started the Kydd series last September and have just completed Treachery. The second novel of the series was published in the year by the SCribner publishing house. Given that most readers of this genre will be familiar with the more popular authors, this adventure provides a different perspective on the historical events of this period.

Kydd (Kydd Sea Adventures, #1) by Julian Stockwin
It’s a shame there’s this flimsy non-entity of a protagonist getting in the way of the explanation of a ship’s rigging. This novel was not as good as the later one, but this novel gave me a taste of the nautical life among common seamen. I thoroughly enjoyed this story, and I look forward to the next in the series!
